Founded in 1986, Staples is a US-based office supplies retail company. It has more than 1,500 stores in North America. In addition to the retail business, Staples also works directly with the corresponding companies through a dedicated customer team to make one-stop shopping to meet their office needs. In 2017, it was acquired by US private equity giant Sycamore Partners for approximately $6.9 billion. Last weekend, a brand new brand image was launched at the Staples 2019 sales conference.
In 2014, in order to highlight the increase in product categories and the global expansion, Staples replaced LOGO and slogan. After five years, Staples made another new change to his brand after changing to a new owner.
The biggest feature of the old LOGO is the "L" in the word mark. This curved L represents a curved pushpin that fits well with office supplies. The replacement of the new LOGO has added a separate graphic logo, but its design ideas are not much different from the previous "pin" concept, the new graphics are also based on the common office supplies - staples.
