The Biotechnology Company---Antheia

- Dec 03, 2019-

Antheia, a California-based biotechnology company founded in 2015 by Stanford University's synthetic biologist Christina Smolke, is dedicated to commercializing the process of producing noscapine using yeast and is currently licensed by Stanford University.

The design company Mucho has developed a new brand image design for Antheia to help Antheia express its brand personality. The name Antheia is also the name of the Greek mythology Angya, the god of love, flowers, gardens and swamps in Cretan mythology. In the design process, the elegant serif is chosen because the glyph features echo the gradual thinning of the stem of the plant, and the geometric symbol on the left side of the letter "A" is a plant leaf and is also a  shape of DNA strand.
